1. Introduction
Welcome to Thirstii (“we,” “our,” or “us”). Thirstii is a social nightlife and venue discovery app that helps adults find bars, restaurants, clubs, and other nightlife destinations, share ratings, and connect with friends. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
By downloading or using the Thirstii app, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information

2.2 Location Information
If you grant location permission, we collect:
- Precise GPS location (latitude and longitude) — to show nearby bars and venues

Location data is collected only while the app is in use. We do not track your location in the background. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.
2.3 Contacts
If you grant contacts permission, we access your device's contact list to help you find friends already using Thirstii. We do not store your contacts on our servers. Contact data is used only at the moment of friend discovery and is not retained or shared with third parties.

4. Venue Data and Third-Party Sources
Bar and restaurant information displayed in Thirstii is sourced from the Google Places API, including venue names, addresses, hours, photos, and business details. This data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We store this venue data (including Google Place IDs and associated metadata) in our own database to power search, recommendations, and rating features.
5. How We Share Your Information
5.1 With Other Users
Your profile name and username are visible to all users. Your ratings and scores are visible to friends; non-friends can see up to 5 of your top and 5 most recent ratings unless your account is set to private, in which case no ratings are visible to non-friends. Your want-to-go and favorites lists are private and not visible to other users. If you follow other users or they follow you, your activity may appear in their feeds.
Before posting a rating, understand that it may be seen by other Thirstii users.
5.2 Service Providers
We share data with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the app, including:
- Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
- Apple — app distribution and in-app purchase processing
- Google — venue data via the Google Places API
- Meta (Facebook) — marketing measurement via the Meta SDK (see section 5.5 below)
These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us.
5.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights or safety of Thirstii, our users, or the public.
5.4 Business Transfers
If Thirstii is acquired by or merged with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is subject to a different privacy policy.
5.5 Third-Party SDKs / Advertising
We use Meta's (Facebook) SDK to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. Meta may collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) for ad attribution purposes. On iOS, you will be asked for permission to track via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any tracking occurs. You can change this permission at any time in your iPhone's Settings → Privacy → Tracking.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.
Ratings and other public content you have posted may remain visible to other users for a short period during the deletion process.
